Hi, I'm David Phillips, FCPA(Ret.), in my later seventies and living just out of Melbourne, Australia. I began writing just a few years ago and found an enjoyment in putting ideas together with research to come up with stories, often linked to historical events of interest.
I find that writing is a labour of love and am now writing, or editing, almost every day.
A friend from childhood was suffering from cancer and writing his memoir. He said I should write mine, and I would be surprised at the things that came to mind. I started, with his encouragement. Previously, I could never complete a novel, but his suggestion freed me up and I stopped the memories to write 'Minstrels! in a couple of months. I'll be forever grateful to Murray, although I did not finish it in time to show him the finished book.
